Onero™ program for stronger bones

Onero™ is an evidence-based exercise program run by The Bone Clinic which has been designed specifically to prevent osteoporotic fracture by stimulating bone development and preventing falls in at-risk individuals. The program consists of high intensity resistance and impact exercises which strengthen bone and muscle. Onero™ must be supervised by accredited practitioners and exercise physiologists to ensure it is delivered safely. The team at Revolution Rural Health Service are the only affiliated clinic to run the Onero™ program in the Northern Rivers region, with classes located in Ballina, Goonellabah and Casino.

Our Onero™ classes are conducted in groups of 6 people for 45 minutes, supported by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist that is Onero™ certified. Each session focuses specifically on improving bone density, enhancing balance and building core stability.  With a focus on proper technique, gradual and systematic progression, and appropriate intensity, we ensure a safe training environment to help you achieve optimal outcomes.

Prior to your first session we conduct an initial assessment to get a better understanding of bone density levels, health history and comorbidities, and physical measures such as balance and strength. This is an important first step to ensure each client begins at a suitable level and can be upgraded as and when needed.
